remote recording
we will record almost anywhere...
Lone Wolf takes the gear out on the road for those special audio events that can't be captured any other way than "live".We've chalked up quite a catalog of live performances on CD, DAT tape, analog tape, and Hi 8mm DTRS tape. We can cover a range of live recording scenarios, from one-shot, one-time only situations to multi-session, on-site/in-studio hybrid projects.
Good planning and pre-production make the difference in live recordings, so contact us as far in advance of your performance date(s) as possilble.
We generally bring a team of two to three people "on-site". If we're traveling more than one hour, one-way, from our Studio, travel charges will apply (see rates).
It's worth noting that we typically bring our latest, greatest digital recorders and mics in order to simplify and keep cost, time, and effort to a minimum.
Our typical configuration includes 8 tracks of TASCAM 24-bit DTRS, a 12-24 channel mixer, and some of our best mics (Audio-Technica 4033s, Shure SM81s, AKG C414s).
Just so you know, at the rates specified, we will not record on our famous 16 track analog machine!
IMPORTANT: All remote recordings eventually end up being mixed, edited, transfered, or otherwise mutilated in our studio, so please be aware that other charges will always apply (see rates). Furthermore, we do not record a live performance, then churn out cassettes and/or CDs the same day or evening of the event!!
